With COVID-19 continuing to impact people around the world, we have decided to move our Gala online. As you can imagine, it was a tough decision, as we rely on our annual Gala as the largest source of individual donations.
That said, for the first time ever, anyone, anywhere can join the Gala! All you need is a computer or mobile device with access to the internet. You don’t want to miss this special opportunity to directly impact the lives of 300 people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities while enjoying an evening filled with celebration and hope. Your support of the Transforming Lives Virtual Gala is the key to ensuring the success of our mission.
The virtual program pre-show will stream online starting at 6:45 p.m., with the main event beginning at 7:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2020. The gala will run approximately 45 minutes and the night’s festivities will be hosted live by local personality T Mychael Rambo, Auctioneer Kurt Johnson, Interim CEO Rod Carlson and some of the wonderful people we support. There will be entertainment, there will be Dreammaker honorees, there will be an online auction, and even a special Fund A Need for COVID-19 support.
So please join us and share with your friends so no one misses this once in a lifetime experience. Keep up to date on the program and auction here and RSVP here.
If you experience difficulty accessing the program or participating in the online auction, please contact us and please RSVP to receive the latest updates on the virtual Gala straight to your inbox and provide your mobile number to receive event and auction updates via text message.
With COVID-19 continuing to impact people around the world, we have decided to move our Gala online for a virtual experience. It was a tough decision, but our services are needed now more than ever. Even though we can’t gather together to dine and dance, we can still gather to help support people with disabilities. Your generous support allows us to continue serving those impacted by disabilities through our programs, services, and advocacy.
The Transforming Lives Gala will take place on Friday, October 2nd from 7:00-7:45 pm CST, with the silent and live auctions closing at 9 pm that night. The cost to attend is free, so please invite your friends to attend as well. Dress up or dress down – you get to choose!
T. Mychael Rambo, local actor and personality, will host the event. We’ll feature a special presentation and silent and live auctions, a fund-a-need appeal, along with our moving Dreammaker Awards and additional experiences. You’ll hear about how your support allows us to continue to be a vital resource in our communities across the Twin Cities.
We will live stream the Gala, so you’ll be able to see it on your computer or other electronic device. For our auction items, all bidding/giving will happen through the GiveSmart technology. In order to have a seamless Gala experience, we recommend that you use 2 devices: one to stream the Gala, and one to bid/donate with.
To sign up, click the “Register Now” button above and go through the prompts in order to create an account. We encourage you to register now so you can be kept up to date on changes and announcements. PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked to enter your credit card when you register. This simply ensures a smooth process if you choose to bid or donate. You will not be charged unless you do so.
Targeted sponsorship opportunities are available. As a Living Well Disability Services sponsor, you will help with the funding of our mission to transform the lives of people impacted by disabilities. In addition, you or your company will be promoted as a partner in our mission.
