It was a big day for Kathleen Campbell yesterday! She is one of our amazing Direct Support Professionals and was awarded an ARRM Cares Award by COO Rod Carlson, Regional Manager Chris Peterson, and Program Manager Cindi Sharp, who nominated her for the prestigious award.
The AARM Cares Award is awarded to Direct Support Professionals who go above and beyond to support people with disabilities. Every year supervisors and organizational leadership nominate DSPs they see representing the disability services industry to the highest standard.
Of the more than 30,000 DSPs across the state, 111 were nominated for this award.
Six individuals were selected from a highly competitive, blind review process involving AARM staff and the Board of Directors. And our very own Kathleen was one of the lucky recipients. In addition to a beautiful glass plaque, she was handed a check for her amazing service, dedication and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities.
She is a shining star, a budding model who was recently featured in her first fashion magazine, and a true partner. Kathleen helped people navigate the pandemic by dressing up for dinner, bringing in her cat, making life at home fun, and being a ray of sunshine in a dark time.
CONGRATULATIONS, Kathleen. That award is beautiful, and the check probably feels like a nice way to be honored, and your work to be truly seen!
