What better way to get involved than to sponsor a Living Well event or partner with us to help bring FUN and community to the houses and the people we serve. We recently mailed our sponsorship packet to 2022 sponsors and wanted to share them with you. Our largest in person event, the Transforming Lives Gala which will be on August 18 at the Depot Minneapolis. This event is a great way to become involved and get to know the people who advocate for and support us. But it is not the only way to donate and help us with our mission of transforming the lives of people impacted by disabilities through the delivery of exceptional services.

Here is a list of incredible opportunities to help us help the people who call Living Well home or use our services, and the staff who so beautifully provide care day in and day out.

TRANSFORMING LIVES GALA (several opportunities) • August 18, 2023: Help us support critical priorities. Join us as we transform lives and help us by funding life giving supports. We cannot do it without your help and appreciate your sponsorship dollars and advocacy. Over 90% of our funding comes from Medicare and Medicaid. As a Living Well Disability Services sponsor, you loudly support our mission to transform the lives of people impacted by disabilities through the delivery of exceptional services. You or your company will be promoted as a partner in our mission. Interested but not sure what level suits your needs? We are happy to work with you to customize a package.

FAMILY FUN DAY (2 opportunities) • June 22, 2023: Each year we celebrate the people we serve with a fun party at Como Park, where they can eat great food, visit with family and staff, and be a part of the community. This private event is by invitation only but is a beloved day for people in the Living Well Community. With entertainment by Elvis, AKA Tony Redmond, BBQ, and activities for all to enjoy, this is a day many look forward to. Living Well Disability Services first opened in 1972. Which means that for every hour of every day, for 50 years, we have been dedicated to taking the very best care of the people we serve. What was started as a home for children with disabilities by parents seeking an alternative to institutionalized care—back when there were limited services available to families—has grown into an organization with 36 group homes and private in-home care serving 300 families in the Twin Cities Metro area.

The work we do matters, and the people with disabilities that call Living Well home, or utilize our services, deserve acceptance and access to a quality life filled with activities, adventures, and FUN.

Remarkably, 10 of the original 45 people who moved in back in 1972 still call Living Well home. To this day we strive to provide care beyond the basics and provide a lifetime of home. We know there is more to life than food, shelter and medicine and are steadfast in our mission of providing exceptional services. We have 500 employees dedicated to our mission, and 48 who have been with us for over 20-40 years. Nearly 80% of our workforce is female and 50% POC.

Thank you for your consideration.
