Our DSP for this week is Abdirahman. He has been with Living Well for three months and in a short time he has made a great impression on everyone at our 3801 apartments.
Cindi Sharp, Program Manager, says, “Abdi is a breath of fresh air, he comes in with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He always seems ready to work. He is a really hard worker and great role model for his coworkers and the people he serves. He is willing to do any task and asks really great questions! His T-logs represent how much care he puts into his shifts, and we really appreciate him here. Being a Youth DSP, he is unable to drive or pass meds, but he makes up for that in taking over other tasks for people and I never hesitate approving shifts he’s wants to pick up.”
Peggy has lived at 3801 for over 20 years and says of Abdirahman, “He’s a really good person! We need him to stay around us and be a strong advocate.”
Abdirahman, you are a busy student and we appreciate you making time in your life to be a part of the team at 3801. Youth DSPs may be young, but they sure do make an impact at the homes where they work. Thank you for all you bring to Living Well!

Favorite part of the job: My favorite part is the environment and how welcoming everyone is. It really feels like a big family.
