Our DSP Shoutout for this week is Jenneh. She has been with Living Well for almost four years, and she brings sunshine to our Southcrest house. Jenneh is a hard worker, and empathetic communicator, and a dedicated employee who has beautiful relationships with the people she supports as well as their families.

Jenneh with Rob at Employee Appreciation Day.
Jamie Randall, Program Manager, says, “Jenneh is willing to kind of just jump in and get things done.” He remembers back when they first opened up the house it was late in the afternoon, after several long days, and he was thinking he might need to stay and do a double. But Jenneh told him to go home, that she had it. Jamie says, “She inherently knows the work, and I know she has the skills to get the work done.” They can trust and lean on each other, which is lovely.

Regional Director Ali Goepfert, says, “Jenneh’s smile is infectious. She has formed close relationships with co-workers and people served, and those relationships have left an impact over the years she has worked for Living Well.” Adding, “Hearing her laughter personally brings me joy, so I think it is safe to assume it does the same for everyone she works with! We are so glad to have you in the Living Well family Jenneh!”
Jenneh is a busy mother to young children, who somehow has the energy to bring the same compassion she shares with her own family to the house at Southcrest. She has great connections with everyone in the home, and her bond with Rob is extra special. He doesn’t get along with just anybody at first, and he adored her from the start. She really is special, and we are lucky to have her on the team.
Congrats, Jenneh—we appreciate your incredible work!

ABOUT JENNEH
Number of years/months with Living Well: 3 years 10 months
Hobbies/Interests: I love to take my kids out and about. Bike rides in the neighborhood are a favorite.
Education: Highschool grad, I plan to study nursing when my kids are older.
Job Experience/History: First job was McDonalds, then a nursing home and assisted living facility.
Favorite part of the job: When I get an excited face out of Rob, I just love it. You can tell when he is happy, and it is fun to see.
Favorite work story: When I was at France, Becky would always say she wanted to go home to see her sister, and we would chat about when she was going to be visiting. It could be hard for her to understand the timing, so we would talk about it, and they always had a wonderful time when together. Everyone loves to see their families, and it is lovely to see the visits and smiles.
What is your motivation for coming to work: Since I was a little girl, I would help take care of my grandmother. I just really like helping people. Back home we just did it on our own, and here we get the training. Family members will tell me I am really good at this job, and that feels nice. One wife would give me a star for a job well done, and that was kind of fun.
What made you apply: A friend I worked with at another place told me to apply for a group home, and I was initially resistant to change, but did it—and love it.
What made you stay: If you have a great team, it will build you up, and they do that here. Both at France and here at Southcrest. Jamie is really good at that, and Living Well is good at having great supervisors.
What would you tell people interested in joining the team: I always tell them Living Well is a great place to work. They know how to supervise, and are respectful of time and energy. The homes are comfortable and they are mindful of your schedules which is nice. And the PTO and benefits are great. I have referred a couple people, this is a great place to work.
When not at work what do you like to do for fun: I love to sit at home and watch movies, and read books to my babies. If I have free time I love to read and relax.
Do you volunteer in your community or school: If I have time I volunteer, but with 2 jobs and 4 kids, that is hard to come by.
