It’s hard to believe it, but we are halfway through the year and celebrating our 27th DSP this week! We have so many incredible employees, and are super excited to introduce you to Keysa, our DSP for this week.

At the end of the month Keysa will have been with Living Well eight years, and we are super excited to have her on the team. She works in Customized Services, which means she supports someone who lives in their own home versus a Living Well house. In this case, her brother. Many people require some assistance, but do not need 24/7 care, and that is where our Customized Services team shines. They craft individual care plans and create support services that fit individual needs on their schedules. Each and every person deserves services and access to activities that enrich their lives. And with dedicated staff like Keysa, we are able to meet the needs of people in our homes and in the community as well.

Suzie Tuccitto, Program Manager, says, “Keysa is the epitome of what we consider a great DSP. She is kind, shows great compassion, and champions her brother in all his pursuits!” Adding, “She has always been someone who thinks outside the box when it comes to helping him learn or practice skills. She shows such enthusiasm when she is spending time working with him on his choice of goals and skills.” When asked about Keysa, Suzi was enthusiastic about her energy and knew she would be a great candidate for DSP of the week.

When asked what makes her stay, Keysa said, “The reason that I stay at Living Well is because my job is fun and fulfilling. As an employee I feel valued and supported and I have never gotten that from any other employer.” And this right here warms all our hearts, as we want the people we serve and our staff to live well.

Direct Support Professionals like Keysa truly are the backbone of the Living Well mission, without them we cannot provide the exceptional services we take pride in. Congrats, Keysa—we appreciate you!

ABOUT KEYSA

Number of years/months with Living Well:  7 years, 11 months

Hobbies/Interests: One of my new hobbies right now is learning to DJ. I also like playing video games and photography.

Education: AAS in Music Business

Job Experience/History: I have worked for McDonald’s, Comcast call center, MRCI, Associated Bank and of course Living Well.

Favorite part of the job: My favorite part of this job is getting to work with a family member and being able to watch them grow and blossom.

Favorite or craziest work story: My favorite work story is when we went to the Snowta festival a couple years ago. Just being able to watch him immerse himself in that environment, dance and have a good time was amazing. That experience really made me feel like I met my purpose. At the end of the night, he said he had the best night of his life. That was worth everything to me.

What is your motivation for coming to work: My person served is my reason for coming to work. We have a lot of fun and it definitely doesn’t feel like work just hanging out with a best friend.

What made you apply: My person served was looking for a new DSP and just asked me to give it a shot, so I did.

What made you stay: The reason that I stay at Living Well is because my job is fun and fulfilling. As an employee I feel valued and supported and I have never gotten that from any other employer.

When not at work what do you like to do for fun: When I’m not on the clock I enjoy reading, playing video games, photography and going to as many concerts as possible.
