Our DSP for this week is Talasia. She started her career with Living Well three years ago as a DSP at Diane Road, then worked as a float between a few houses, and now is the Assistant Program Manager at our Selkirk home. She has a big heart and is a team player who is always up for new adventures. In a couple of weeks, she will be heading to Camp Menogyn for the annual winter YMCA camp trip off the Gunflint Trail, which showcases her up for anything attitude!
Madyson Fairhurst, Program Manager, says, “Coming into the PM position came with many unknowns, including not knowing who my right hand at the house would be. When I found out it was Talasia, I was thrilled as we had already known each other from high school! She was always so bubbly in the halls, and I saw her sprout as an APM in a very small amount of time. Talasia has a huge impact on the house, and all the people who live here love her. She picked up on the tasks given easily and is very easy to communicate with. All around she has been an amazing asset to Selkirk.”
Talasia, we appreciate your incredible energy and are grateful you joined the team. Thank you for making a career out of caring for others.

Job Experience/History: I started working in fast food, then lifeguarding, then nannying, and now Living Well.
Favorite part of the job: Building relationships with the people we serve as well as coworkers.
Favorite or craziest work story: There was a manager who’d sage the house and put up crystals and played reggae during breakfast. She brought staff kombucha and put up fairy lights in the office.
