Our DSP Shoutout for this week is Treasure. She has been with Living Well for almost six years and has been an incredible employee since day one. Treasure is a bundle of energy and positivity mixed with tenderness and attentiveness. The people she supports get all of her and she shows up fully when she is at work. She is an all-in employee!

At Employee Appreciation Day last month.
Program Manager, Jenni Zeis, hired Treasure in August 2017, when she was still in HR. Jenni says, “The minute I met her I knew she was going to make incredible contributions to the lives of the people we support as well as the teams she worked with. Her goodness and beautiful soul radiate through her eyes and her smile.” Adding, “She is such a hard worker and upholds an incredibly high standard of care. In addition to providing the best care possible for the people she supports, she also holds others to the same level of care, which makes her an incredible leader at the home. Thank you, Treasure, for your incredible contributions to everyone at Carmen!”

Assistant Program Manager, Alexis Santana, says, “Treasure is the hardest worker that I know. She is such a blast to work with and she cares so much about the people we support. She is always quick to jump in and is always so flexible with any shift that we need covered. She is truly a beautiful person inside and out and I’m so thankful to work with her!”
Direct Support Professionals like Treasure are the backbone of the Living Well mission, without them we cannot provide the exceptional services we are known for. Congrats, Treasure—we appreciate your positive attitude, vivacious energy, and incredible work ethic! You are just as your name suggests, a real treasure!

ABOUT TREASURE

Hobbies/Interests: My hobbies are playing video games and reading books. My favorites are Hogwarts Legacy for video games, and I just reread The Summer I turned Pretty by Jenny Han.
Job Experience/History: I started at Personal Resource Network as a PCA before coming to Living Well.
Favorite part of the job: I love being in a supportive environment and working with the people at the house. I really enjoy working with people and supporting others as they reach a goal.
Favorite work story: My favorite memory is when we went to the State Fair and tried lots of different foods and got an old western photo as a group with everyone, it was really fun!
What is your motivation for coming to work: My motivation for coming to work is the love and care that is shown at my workplace.
What made you apply: What made me apply was visiting one of the Living Well homes and seeing the work they do. I was visiting my friend’s mom, who worked at a home, and the care she gave was inspiring, everyone had such a great time together.
What made you stay: What makes me stay are the people!
What would you tell people interested in joining the team: I would say if they wanted to work at a truly supportive place, and have fun while they help people live their best lives, I recommend they apply!
When not at work what do you like to do for fun: When not at work I enjoy spending time with my dog, Booker-Lee, and trying new coffee shops with my partner.
Do you volunteer in your community or school: I volunteer at Can Do Canines, my church and Shout out Loud.
