At Living Well, we believe strongly in building and fostering strong relationships with our supporters. Recently, we were thrilled to welcome a new partner into the Living Well family — The Maximus Foundation — whose generosity is already making a difference. We were able to use this donation as a paddle raise in the fund-a-need at this year’s record-breaking Gala!
Thanks to a $10,000 Community Choice Grant from The Maximus Foundation, Living Well can continue expanding the exceptional services that empower individuals to live with independence, dignity, and joy. But what makes this story even more special is how the partnership came to be.
It all started with Brandon Kinzer, an employee at Maximus who knows Living Well well — his wife, Anh Kinzer, is our HR Manager. Brandon has also volunteered with us for years and has seen firsthand the impact our services have on people with disabilities and their families. When the opportunity arose, he generously proposed Living Well be considered for a donation. Brandon says, “I had the honor of nominating Living Well Disability Services for the Community Choice Grant, and it’s been inspiring to see the work you do recognized throughout the process. My connection to Living Well is as the spouse of an employee, and as a volunteer. Your organization’s impact on the community truly stood out, and I’m so glad to see it celebrated with grant funding from the Maximus Foundation. Over the years I have seen first-hand with my volunteering at the annual gala the impact Living Well’s services has on people impacted by disabilities and their families.” Adding, “Thank you for all that you do—your organization is making a real difference, and I was proud to be part of this moment with you all.”
