Thank you to Sun this Week for covering our U of M Dental Hygiene program Partnership.

Earlier in February and March students from the dental program at the U of M Center of Community Engagement and Learning visited our Kennelly and Casey homes. On March 22, they wrapped up their visits by assisting Kennelly staff with best practices on how to help the people we support to brush teeth, and how to get people excited to take care of their dental health. They watched as Becky showed off her routine and gave advice on products to use, even leaving samples of flossers.

After the house visit, they came to the Northland offices to show our nursing and training team a presentation they put together that will be used for new hire orientation moving forward. The presentation was a huge success, and we are looking forward to implementing the presentation soon.

We are grateful for the house visits and oral hygiene education, and for the coverage.
