On Friday, August 18, at The Depot Minneapolis, we will gather to celebrate the importance of advocacy for disability services and to honor the people we serve and our staff who care tirelessly for others. We will showcase what makes Living Well special and separates us from other providers. And while doing so, we will raise money to keep the mission we worked so hard to bring to life relevant and thriving. We are excited beyond measure to party with friends and family.
Last year we celebrated our 50th anniversary, this year we will celebrate the continuous advocacy our supporters have given us over the years. Your help will ensure our ability to stay strong for decades to come. Your donations and advocacy have a direct impact on many, and truly transform the lives of the people we support.

Help us build the best auction ever: We are hot on the hunt for more amazing items for our LIVE and silent auctions. Please tell us if you have a connection, or are the connection, for local and national businesses, theaters, stadiums, or vendors who have cool things and experiences you love and that you just know people would want to outbid each other on. If you own a suite and can get us concert tickets, we need to talk!

A few notable items you will want to BID on: This year we are thrilled to announce we have received a 6-month lease on a Subaru Cross Trek or Forrester, generously donated by Walser Subaru in St. Paul. What started as a partnership featuring us as their Share the Love partner at the end of 2022, has morphed into a relationship that feels more like a deep friendship. We adore the team over there, and they fully see and support our mission. You can bid on the lease live in person on August 18th!

Another FUN item is new this year. Since chef experiences are selling like toilet paper during covid, we will have a dinner on the auction so special it truly is one of a kind. Shelly Novotny, who has worked with Living Well over 32 years, will be making homemade pasta for 6, complete with an appetizer and dessert, at our Maryland house. She has done this every year for 13 years on New Years Eve (see the blog about it here) and for the first time will offer up a similar dinner to a bidder. She will be working in tandem with other staff members, Julie Jacob and Donna Sanderson, along with Krista and Elise and everyone who calls Maryland home. It is a mission moment in real time, and the bidder will leave with a full belly and heart.
We adore the work we do, the people we support, the staff who show up day in and day out, the advocacy and the FUN. There can be long days and hard nights, but there is always room for a little joy and a lot of fun. Join us, in any way you can, on August 18th. We are looking forward to a beautiful party and cannot wait to see you there. Oh, and there will be a great band, Good For Gary simply never disappoints. And get this, you could bid on a Windsong Farm Golf Club package including lessons during the round from professional teaching pro, Gerald McCullagh.
